UK XRAY team drivers made a perfect start to their preparations for this weekendâ™s forthcoming BRCA touring car national at the fast Halifax circuit in the north of the UK, the Schumacher BTCC series acts as a warm up event for the UK nationals and both Olly Jefferies and Zak Finlay were on great form at the national warm up meeting.
In modified Olly was blowing away the cobwebs having not driven an RC car for over a month, despite a lack of track of time Olly hit the ground running and took TQ in the modified class.
It was a double TQ for XRAY as in the stock class Zak Finlay took TQ. This coming weekend is an important one for Zak as a good result at the Halifax national could see him crowned UK stock champion, this would make it a one two for XRAY in the national series with Olly already wrapping up the modified title at the last round.
The finals also went the way of the XRAY drivers, Olly was getting to grips with the revised Sorex tyre which is to be used in the modified class for the last two BRCA Nationals and took both legs of the modified A final ahead of the Associatedâ™s of Chris Grainger and Zak Smith, Olly very happy with his T4 and the way he was able to get the car to work on the new harder tyre.

For Zak it was another win and another strong confidence boosting performance ahead of what will be an important and tough weekend for Zak.
